My name is Ian Tucker, I am married and live with my wife and three children near Bearwood in the West Midlands.

I was introduced to Reiki in 2002 and have progressed through from the Reiki first degree course (Reiki 1) to gaining my Reiki third degree (Reiki 3) certificate in 2006.

After first reading about and subsequently beginning to learn Reiki I was hooked, the simplicity of Reiki together with the positive changes that I saw it bring to not only myself but others made me begin to think that I would like to devote more time to it.

A Reiki third degree certificate enables you to go on and teach but I made a conscious decision to continue working and developing with Reiki until I felt the time was right to pass on all it’s benefits to others.

During 2007 I decided to move away from a twenty year career in sales and marketing and concentrate on developing a lifestyle that enabled me to be with my family more whilst doing things that I enjoyed.

I didn’t have to wait long for my first opportunity to teach Reiki, I was offered the chance to take over an existing Reiki class from the lady who had been my mentor (Pat Mansell, to whom I owe an awful lot).

It’s strange how things can change in life, due to Reiki having no links to any specific Religion or culture I am now able to meet and work with people from all walks of life, both teaching and giving Reiki as a therapy.
