What is Aquacise?

Aquacise is one of only a few sports that can be undertaken by anyone, regardless of height, weight and build, size, gender, race or age. Aquacise also caters for those who have specific needs such as an injury, medical problems and ante/post natal.

How Aquacise can benefit you

Having spent a long time being perceived as a keep fit option of the over fifties, the modern image of Aquacise: the aerobic work out in the swimming pool, could not be more different.
Pumping music, sociable surroundings and an alternative way to work all the muscles in the body, is making Aquacise an appealing option for the growing numbers of young athletic people who are participating in the classes.
 
Excercising in water is muich less stressful on the joints as the body is bouyant. The water offers support but the resitance will ensure that the muscles are worked harder than on land, but without the associated risks.

Health benefits of of excersicing in water include :

  • Non competitive as everyone works at their own level
  • Increased relacation and the range of movement in joints
  • Cardio vasular function can improve from excercise
  • Warm water relaxes and reduces stress levels
  • Stamina strength and suppleness improves qicker in water than land as you are using the water as resitance

I have additional qualifications in the use of woggles and handbouys and also in choregraphy to add variety in the sessions
